Morning begins at 5am. The coffee is brewing and it’s time to dress the kids, prepare their lunches and fit in the quick 10-minute dress and mirror check routine you’ve mastered. The morning can be a stressful time with so much to do and prepare and we forget about sticking to important daily habits. When we were younger, mom said a lot of things that at the time made no sense, but now makes perfect sense.
Eating a healthy, balanced breakfast is one of those things.
We know by now that our bodies begin shutting down by the afternoon if we don’t have a nutritious breakfast, and the sad news is that more than 31 million of us in the US skip breakfast every day. And, according to a study by the American Academy of Pediatrics, 8-12% of school-aged children skip breakfast.
Like our mom said (and possibly what you say to your own children), breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not only for your children, but for you to be the best, most productive you you can be. Here are a few reasons why you should begin making breakfast a priority.
- Metabolism Booster
- Maximizes Energy
- Keeps your Daily Eating in Check
